TLDR
In this article, the authors investigated the kinetic effect of specific adsorption interactions on the chemical reduction of uranyl (UVIO22+) by ferrous iron, and derived a rate law for surface-catalyzed U(VI) reduction by Fe(II), d[U(VI)] dt =−k[≡ Fe III OFe II OH 0 ][U( VI)] ads where the bimolecular rate constant k has a value of 399 ± 25 M−1 min−1 at 25°C.About:

Microbial Transformations of Radionuclides in the Subsurface
TL;DR: In this article, the authors considered the single most important factor controlling the speciation and environmental behavior of microorganisms in subsurface environments, and showed that the oxidation state of a microbe is a major determinant of its speciation.

Uranium in natural waters and the environment: Distribution, speciation and impact
TL;DR: In this article , the authors show that high concentrations of U in groundwater are associated most strongly with (i) granitic and felsic volcanic aquifers, (ii) continental sandstone aquifer especially in alluvial plains and (iii) areas of U mineralization.

Chapter 3 The role of microorganisms during sediment diagenesis: Implications for radionuclide mobility
TL;DR: Some of the principal microbially driven chemical reactions within the sediment and considers the relationship between the mobility of some environmentally important radionuclides such as Cs, Tc, U, Np, and Pu.
Influence of Radiolysis on UO 2 Fuel Matrix Dissolution Under Disposal Conditions
TL;DR: In this article, the influence of water radiolysis on UO2 fuel matrix dissolution under the disposal conditions was examined and a specific activity threshold to observe -radiolysis effects has been presented.
