TLDR
In this article, the authors investigated the kinetic effect of specific adsorption interactions on the chemical reduction of uranyl (UVIO22+) by ferrous iron, and derived a rate law for surface-catalyzed U(VI) reduction by Fe(II), d[U(VI)] dt =−k[≡ Fe III OFe II OH 0 ][U( VI)] ads where the bimolecular rate constant k has a value of 399 ± 25 M−1 min−1 at 25°C.About:

Mitigating uranium in groundwater: prospects and limitations.
TL;DR: Solubilization experiments using scrap iron together with water works sludge, MnO2, and pyrite indicate that U(VI) is immobilized by iron corrosion products after about 50 days, which may be explained by the aqueous chemistry of uranium and iron.

TL;DR: The Gibbs free energies of transformation reactions among iron oxides are calculated using the HSE (a = 0.15) functional and the equilibrium phase diagrams of the iron oxide system under various conditions are plotted, which provide reliable theoretical insight into the phase transformations of iron Oxides.

Degradation of Drinking Water Disinfection Byproducts by Synthetic Goethite and Magnetite
TL;DR: Observed pseudo-first-order reductive dehalogenation rates were influenced by DBP chemical structure and identity of the reductant, and sorption onto the iron oxide minerals was also an important loss process for 1,1,1-trichloropropanone.
