Paleozoic rapid denudation of the Proterozoic Jinchuan Ni-Cu-PGE sulfide deposit, NW China: Insights from single-grain zircon (U-Th)/He thermochronology
Qingsong Cai,Yuxin Fan,Xueyu Yan,Ying Wang,Minmin Gao,Guangliang Yang,Mingjie Zhang,Kevin Bi,Hongfu Zhang,Xiaohu Li +9 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors reported a new finding of the rapid uplift and denudation event during Late Paleozoic which is supported by single-grain zircon (U-Th)/He dating of 7 samples with elevations ranging between 1453 m and 2180 m collected from a vertical profile in the Jinchuan area.
Journal ArticleDOI
A newly found Paleozoic Japan-type subduction–accretion system
TL;DR: Xiao et al. as mentioned in this paper proposed that during the Paleozoic there was a Japan-type or west Pacific-type-arc-back-arc system in the Beishan orogenic collage.
Journal ArticleDOI
A Late Cambrian Continental Convergent Margin in the North Qilian Orogenic Belt, Northwestern China: Geochemical and Geochronological Evidence from Hongtugou Mafic Rocks
TL;DR: In this article , the authors conducted geochemical and geochronological investigations of the mafic rock sequence (cumulate gabbros, diabases, isotropic gabbro, and basalts) in Hongtugou in the South Ophiolite Belt.
Journal ArticleDOI
Lu–Hf Geochronology on Single Garnets in a Micaschist from the North Qilian Orogenic Belt
TL;DR: In this article , the radiometric dating on individual garnet crystals of different sizes from a single micaschist in the North Qilian orogenic belt was performed to examine the Lu-Hf systematics of garnets during low-temperature metamorphism.
Journal ArticleDOI
Crystal accumulation and crystal-melt separation: A case study from Mengjiadawan batholith in the North Qilian orogen, NW China
TL;DR: In this paper , an integrated study of UPb zircon chronology, whole-rock geochemical and Sr-Nd-Hf isotopic compositions, and the Sr isotopic composition of apatite and plagioclase for MMEs, host monzonitic granites, quartz diorites and biotite granites from ∼430 Ma Mengjiadawan batholith in the north margin of the North Qilian orogeny was carried out.

Chemical and isotopic systematics of oceanic basalt : implications for mantle composition and processes
TL;DR: In this article, trace-element data for mid-ocean ridge basalts and ocean island basalts are used to formulate chemical systematics for oceanic basalts, interpreted in terms of partial-melting conditions, variations in residual mineralogy, involvement of subducted sediment, recycling of oceanic lithosphere and processes within the low velocity zone.

Petrogenetic implications of Ti, Zr, Y, and Nb variations in volcanic rocks
TL;DR: In this paper, a table of mineral-liquid distribution coefficients for Ti, Zr, Y, and Nb for basic, intermediate and acid melt compositions were used to interpret variations of these elements, first in basalts and second during fractional crystallization from basic to acid magmas.

Ti-V plots and the petrogenesis of modern and ophiolitic lavas
TL;DR: In this article, the authors applied the Ti/V plot to published data on ophiolites from a variety of postulated settings and in general supported the conclusions of previous investigators.
