Uptake and desorption of copper ion using functionalized polymer coated silica gel in aqueous environment
TL;DR: A resinous functionalized polymer, aniline formaldehyde condensate (AFC) coated on silica gel was used as an adsorbent to remove copper (Cu 2+ ) from aqueous solution under conditions of different initial Cu 2+ concentration, adsorbents loading, pH and adsorption time as discussed by the authors.

Mixed Surface Reaction and Diffusion-Controlled Kinetic Model for Adsorption at the Solid/Solution Interface
Monireh Haerifar,Saeid Azizian +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a new model has been proposed for the modeling of adsorption kinetics at the solid/solution interface in batch systems, based on generated data points (t, q) by using of the new model, and it was found that there is a deviation from linearity as a downward curvature at initial times of adaption in usual t/q vs time plot, when diffusion contributes to the rate-controlling step of adsaption.
