Transport properties of Bi-rich Bi-Sb alloys

TLDR
In this paper, the authors focused on the investigation of the transport properties of BiSb alloys and measured electrical resistivity, thermoelectric power and thermal conductivity in a direction perpendicular or parallel to the trigonal axis within the temperature range 4.2 - 300 K on various alloy compositions containing up to 18.2 at.

Topological insulators with inversion symmetry

TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that the parity of the occupied Bloch wave functions at the time-reversal invariant points in the Brillouin zone greatly simplifies the problem of evaluating the topological invariants.
Journal ArticleDOI

Topological Insulator Materials

TL;DR: Topological insulators represent a new quantum state of matter which is characterized by peculiar edge or surface states that show up due to a topological character of the bulk wave functions.

Topological Insulator Materials

TL;DR: Topological insulators represent a new quantum state of matter which is characterized by peculiar edge or surface states that show up due to a topological character of the bulk wave functions as mentioned in this paper.

Compromise and Synergy in High-Efficiency Thermoelectric Materials.

TL;DR: Novel concepts and paradigms are described here that have emerged, targeting superior TE materials and higher TE performance, including band convergence, "phonon-glass electron-crystal", multiscale phonon scattering, resonant states, anharmonicity, etc.

Observation of time-reversal-protected single-Dirac-cone topological-insulator states in Bi2Te3 and Sb2Te3

TL;DR: It is directly shown that Bi2Te3 is a large spin-orbit-induced indirect bulk band gap semiconductor whose surface is characterized by a single topological spin-Dirac cone, and it is demonstrated that the dynamics of spin- Dirac fermions can be controlled through systematic Mn doping.

Chemical bonding in bismuth telluride

TL;DR: In this paper, a model for the chemical bondins in bismuth telluride is proposed, which appears to dispose of some of the difficulties involved in earlier models, and is used to explain some properties of BTE and its alloys with BTE.

Transport Properties of Bismuth Single Crystals

TL;DR: The absolute Seebeck coefficient, electrical resistivity, and thermal resistivity were simultaneously measured on pure bismuth single crystals of various orientations between approximately 80° and 300°K.

Low-temperature Transport-properties of the Group-v Semimetals

TL;DR: In this paper, the electrical resistivity, thermal conductivity and thermopower of bismuth, antimony and arsenic are reviewed, with particular emphasis on measurements performed at low and ultralow temperatures.
