Universal Upper Bound on the Inflationary Energy Scale from the Trans-Planckian Censorship Conjecture

TLDR
In this article, the authors study the TCC constraint on the inflationary energy scale from the recently proposed trans-Planckian censorship conjecture and find a universal upper bound on inflationary Hubble expansion rate which is solely determined by the reheating temperature.
Abstract
We study the constraint on the inflationary energy scale from the recently proposed trans-Planckian censorship conjecture (TCC). We find a universal upper bound on the inflationary Hubble expansion rate ${H}_{\mathrm{inf}}$ which is solely determined by the reheating temperature ${T}_{\mathrm{rh}}$: ${H}_{\mathrm{inf}}/{M}_{\mathrm{Pl}}\ensuremath{\lesssim}{T}_{0}/{T}_{\mathrm{rh}}$, where ${T}_{0}$ is the photon temperature today. The upper limit can be saturated by a postinflationary oscillatory stage with the critical equation-of-state parameter $w\ensuremath{\approx}\ensuremath{-}1/3$, or by an inflation model with multiple stages. In the lowest reheating temperature required for big bang nucleosynthesis, the upper bound on the tensor-to-scalar ratio $r$ at the CMB scales is $r\ensuremath{\lesssim}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}8}$, which can be realized in many string-inspired inflation models.

Cosmology for Grand Unified Theories with Radiatively Induced Symmetry Breaking

TL;DR: In this article, the treatment of first-order phase transitions for standard grand unified theories is shown to break down for models with radiatively induced spontaneous symmetry breaking, leading to an explanation of the cosmological homogeneity, flatness, and monopole puzzles.

Warm brane inflation with an exponential potential: A consistent realization away from the swampland

TL;DR: In this article, a warm inflation model embedded in the Randall-Sundrum brane-world scenario is shown to belong to the landscape by supporting a strong dissipative regime with an inflaton steep exponential potential.

Trans-Planckian censorship and other swampland bothers addressed in warm inflation

TL;DR: In this paper, the implications of the trans-Planckian censorship conjecture (TCC) in the context of warm inflation were analyzed and it was found that for a single-stage accelerated expansion the constraints imposed by the censorship are roughly the same as for cold inflation.

Inflationary universe: A possible solution to the horizon and flatness problems

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a model of hot big-bang cosmology where the early universe is assumed to be highly homogeneous, in spite of the fact that separated regions were causally disconnected (horizon problem).

A new type of isotropic cosmological models without singularity

TL;DR: In this paper, the Einstein equations with quantum one-loop contributions of conformally covariant matter fields are shown to admit a class of nonsingular isotropic homogeneous solutions that correspond to a picture of the universe being initially in the most symmetric (de Sitter) state.

A new inflationary universe scenario: A possible solution of the horizon, flatness, homogeneity, isotropy and primordial monopole problems

TL;DR: A new inflationary universe scenario is suggested in this paper, which is free of the shortcomings of the previous one and provides a possible solution of the horizon, flatness, homogeneity and isotropy problems in cosmology.
