Wavelet packets-based digital watermarking for image verification and authentication

TLDR
A novel watermarking scheme to ensure the authenticity of digital images using characteristics of the human visual system to maximize the embedding weights while keeping good perceptual transparency and an image-dependent method to evaluate the optimal quantization step allowing the tamper proofing of the image.

A secure fragile watermarking scheme based on chaos-and-hamming code

TL;DR: Experimental results show that the proposed secure fragile watermarking scheme has satisfactory protection ability and can detect and locate various malicious tampering via image insertion, erasing, burring, sharpening, contrast modification, and even though burst bits.

Chaotic watermark for blind forgery detection in images

TL;DR: A binary watermark is constructed from the image itself, which makes the watermark unique for every image and guarantee the blindness in the detection process and guarantees the security of the proposed scheme.

A theory for multiresolution signal decomposition: the wavelet representation

TL;DR: In this paper, it is shown that the difference of information between the approximation of a signal at the resolutions 2/sup j+1/ and 2 /sup j/ (where j is an integer) can be extracted by decomposing this signal on a wavelet orthonormal basis of L/sup 2/(R/sup n/), the vector space of measurable, square-integrable n-dimensional functions.
