TLDR
In this paper, the spectral distribution curve of temperature radiation was shown to be similar to the velocity distribution of the electromagnetic spectrum of a single photon, and the formal similarity of spectral distribution curves to Maxwell's velocity distribution curve was revealed.Abstract:
The formal similarity of the spectral distribution curve of temperature radiation to Maxwell’s velocity distribution curve is too striking to have remained hidden very long.read more

Synthesis and optical properties of green emitting garnet phosphors for phosphor-converted light emitting diodes
Arturas Katelnikovas,Julian Plewa,Danuta Dutczak,S. Möller,David Enseling,Holger Winkler,Aivaras Kareiva,Thomas Jüstel +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a series of Ce 3+ doped CaLu 2 Al 4 SiO 12 garnet phosphors were prepared by a sol-gel combustion technique, and all samples were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermal quenching (TQ), fluorescence lifetime and photoluminescence (PL) measurements.

Erbium complexes as pioneers for implementing linear light-upconversion in molecules
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a review of the current level of developments in the field of molecular-based upconversion and discuss some forthcoming challenges, including the use of trivalent erbium coordination complexes as dual visible/near-infrared activators.
Journal ArticleDOI
Absorption, emission, and gain spectra of 1.3 µm InGaAsP quaternary lasers
TL;DR: In this paper, the spontaneous emission spectrum of mesa lasers was analyzed to determine the absorption and gain spectra at threshold, and the radiative current density at threshold was found to be 4.4 kA cm-2μm-1, which is 60 percent of the total current density for the lowest threshold mesa laser.

Verifiable CPD paper: introduction, history of lasers and laser light production.
TL;DR: The history and development of lasers, the integration of lasers into clinical dentistry and the safeguards as to their regulated use are explored.

Models and methodologies in current theoretical high-energy physics
TL;DR: A case study of the development of quantum field theory and of S-matrix theory, from their inceptions to the present, is presented and Lakatos' scheme provides a reasonable overall description and a plausible assessment of the relative value of these two programs in terms of progressive and degenerating problem shifts.
