Population and γ-decay studies of neutron-rich nuclei around 48Cawith deep inelastic collisions
D. Montanari,S. Leoni,G. Benzoni,N. Blasi,A. Bracco,S. Brambilla,F. Camera,Alessandra Corsi,F. C. L. Crespi,B. Million,R. Nicolini,O. Wieland,L. Corradi,G. de Angelis,Francesca Della Vedova,E. Fioretto,A. Gadea,B. Guiot,D. R. Napoli,R. Orlandi,F. Recchia,R. Silvestri,A. M. Stefanini,R. P. Singh,Suzana Szilner,J. J. Valiente Dobon,D. Bazzacco,E. Farnea,S. M. Lenzi,S. Lunardi,P. J. R. Mason,D. Mengoni,G. Montagnoli,Fernando Scarlassara,C. A. Ur,G. Lo Bianco,Alessandro Zucchiatti,M. Kmiecik,A. Maj,W. Meczynski,G. Pollarolo +40 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the population and decay of n-rich nuclei around Ca have been measured with the PRISMA-CLARA setup using deep-inelastic collisions (DIC) on Ni, at energies 2.5 times above the Coulomb barrier.
Journal ArticleDOI
Study of thermally excited nuclei through E1 and E2 decay from collective modes
Benedicte Million,A. Bracco,G. Benzoni,S. Leoni,F. Camera,O. Wieland,A. Maj,M. Kmiecik,A. Gadea,B. Herskind +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of thermal energy on superdeformed configurations is investigated through the analysis of the quasi-continuum spectra formed by E2 transitions among states of excited rotational bands with energy extending up to 4-5 MeV above the yrast line.
Journal ArticleDOI
Scars of discrete rotational bands in hot nuclei
Ricardo A. Broglia,Ricardo A. Broglia,Thomas Døssing,Masayuki Matsuo,Enrico Vigezzi,P. Bosetti,A. Bracco,S. Frattini,B. Herskind,S. Leoni,S. Leoni,P. Rasmussen +11 more
TL;DR: The complexity of the damping mechanism is revealed in the lineshape of the ridges in the γ-γ correlation spectrum as mentioned in this paper, where scars of discrete rotational bands are found, inbedded in a background of damped rotational states, regardless whether the calculations are carried out using effective or random forces.
Journal ArticleDOI
Measurement of light charged particles in the decay channels of medium-mass excited compound nuclei
Simone Valdré,Sandro Barlini,Giovanni Casini,Gabriele Pasquali,Silvia Piantelli,S. Carboni,M. Cinausero,F. Gramegna,T. Marchi,Giorgio Baiocco,L. Bardelli,G. Benzoni,Maurizio Bini,N. Blasi,A. Bracco,S. Brambilla,M. Bruno,F. Camera,Andrea Corsi,F. C. L. Crespi,M. D Agostino,M. Degerlier,V. L. Kravchuk,S. Leoni,B. Million,D. Montanari,Luca Morelli,A. Nannini,R. Nicolini,Giacomo Poggi,G. Vannini,O. Wieland,P. Bednarczyk,M. Ciemala,J. Dudek,B. Fornal,M. Kmiecik,A. Maj,M. Matejska-Minda,K. Mazurek,W. Meczynski,S. Myalski,J. Styczen,M. Zieblinski +43 more
TL;DR: In this article, the 48Ti on 40Ca reactions have been studied at 300 and 600 MeV focusing on the fusion-evaporation (FE) and fusion-fission (FF) exit channels, and the energy spectra and multiplicities of the emitted light charged particles have been compared to Monte Carlo simulations based on the statistical model.
Journal ArticleDOI
Decay-out of the yrast superdeformed band in 136Nd: towards an experimental extraction of the neutron pairing gap in the second well
Stephane Perries,Alain Astier,Laurent Ducroux,Marco Meyer,N. Redon,C. M. Petrache,D. Bazzacco,G. Falconi,S. Lunardi,M. Lunardon,C. Rossi Alvarez,C. A. Ur,R. Venturelli,G. Viesti,I. Deloncle,M. G. Porquet,G. de Angelis,M. De Poli,Claes Fahlander,E. Farnea,D. Foltescu,A. Gadea,D. R. Napoli,Zs. Podolyák,A. Bracco,S. Frattini,S. Leoni,Bo Cederwall,A. Johnson,Ramon Wyss +29 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the 136 Nd nucleus has been studied using the EUROBALL III γ-multidetector to establish the decay-out of the yrast superdeformed band.
