First results from the DarkSide-50 dark matter experiment at Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso

P. Agnes, +148 more
- 09 Apr 2015 -
TL;DR: The first results of a direct search for dark matter operating in the underground Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso (LNGS) and searching for the rare nuclear recoils possibly induced by weakly interacting massive particles (WIMPs) were reported in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Results from the first use of low radioactivity argon in a dark matter search

P. Agnes, +158 more
- 08 Apr 2016 -
TL;DR: The first WIMP search results obtained using a target of low-radioactivity argon were reported in this paper, where the underground argon is shown to contain Ar-39 at a level reduced by a factor (1.4 +- 0.2) x 103 relative to atmospheric argon.
Journal ArticleDOI

The veto system of the DarkSide-50 experiment

P. Agnes, +159 more
TL;DR: In this article, a boron-loaded liquid scintillator detector within a water Cherenkov detector was used to suppress and measure the rate of neutron-induced background events.
Journal ArticleDOI

The veto system of the DarkSide-50 experiment

P. Agnes, +181 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a boron-loaded liquid scintillator detector within a water Cherenkov detector was used to suppress and measure the rate of neutron-induced background events.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sensitivity of future liquid argon dark matter search experiments to core-collapse supernova neutrinos

P. Agnes, +275 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the sensitivity of future liquid-argon DarkSide-20k and ARGO detectors to supernova neutrinos via coherent elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering.
