Journal ArticleDOI
Spectral properties of Bunimovich mushroom billiards.
TL;DR: Properties of a quantum mushroom billiard in the form of a superconducting microwave resonator reveal unexpected nonuniversal features such as, e.g., a supershell effect in the level density and a dip in the nearest-neighbor spacing distribution.
Journal ArticleDOI
Gamow-Teller Strengths in the A = 14 Multiplet: A Challenge to the Shell Model

TL;DR: In this paper, a new experimental approach to the famous problem of the anomalously slow Gamow-Teller (GT) transitions in the β decay of the A = 14 multiplet is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Spectral properties of superconducting microwave photonic crystals modeling Dirac billiards
TL;DR: In this article, the eigenvalues of two rectangular quantum billiards that contain circular scatterers forming a triangular grid were determined experimentally using superconducting macroscopic-size microwave billiard that enclose a photonic crystal.
Journal ArticleDOI
Change of the dipole strength distributions between the neighbouring γ-soft nuclei 194Pt and 196Pt
A. Linnemann,P. von Brentano,J. Eberth,Joachim Enders,Joachim Enders,A. Fitzler,C. Fransen,E. Guliyev,R-D Herzberg,R-D Herzberg,L. Käubler,A. A. Kuliev,P. von Neumann-Cosel,Norbert Pietralla,H. Prade,Achim Richter,Ronald Schwengner,H.G. Thomas,Dirk Weisshaar,I. Wiedenhöver,I. Wiedenhöver +20 more
TL;DR: In this article, a nuclear resonance fluorescence experiment with two highly efficient EUROBALL cluster detectors has been performed on the γ -soft nucleus 194 Pt. Dipole excitations were observed between 2 and 4 MeV excitation energy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Correlation-hole method for the spectra of superconducting microwave billiards
H. Alt,H.-D. Gräf,Thomas Guhr,H. L. Harney,R. Hofferbert,H. Rehfeld,Achim Richter,P. Schardt +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the spectral fluctuation properties of various two-and three-dimensional superconducting billiard systems are investigated by employing the correlation-hole method, which rests on the sensitivity of the spectral Fourier transform to long-range correlations and is thus an alternative technique to study chaotic dynamics.
