Test of the Brink-Axel Hypothesis for the Pygmy Dipole Resonance.
Dirk Martin,P. von Neumann-Cosel,Atsushi Tamii,Nori Aoi,S. Bassauer,Carlos A. Bertulani,J. Carter,L. M. Donaldson,H. Fujita,Yoshitaka Fujita,T. Hashimoto,Kichiji Hatanaka,Tsuyohito Ito,A. Krugmann,B. Liu,Yusuke T. Maeda,K. Miki,R. Neveling,Norbert Pietralla,I. Poltoratska,V. Yu. Ponomarev,Achim Richter,Tatsushi Shima,T. Yamamoto,Markus Zweidinger +24 more
TL;DR: The present results validate the Brink-Axel hypothesis for ^{96}Mo and provide independent confirmation of the methods used to separate gamma strength function and level density in γ decay experiments.
Journal ArticleDOI
Relation between the scissors mode and the interacting boson model deformation
TL;DR: An interacting boson model sum rule for the strength of exciting the magnetic dipole scissors mode is used to relate this strength to the quadrupole deformation, resulting in a parameter-free description of the M1 transition strength over the entire range of nuclei from Nd to W studied experimentally.
Journal ArticleDOI
Chaotic dynamics in a three-dimensional superconducting microwave billiard
H. Alt,H. Alt,H.-D. Gräf,H.-D. Gräf,R. Hofferbert,R. Hofferbert,Chary Rangacharyulu,Chary Rangacharyulu,H. Rehfeld,H. Rehfeld,Achim Richter,Achim Richter,P. Schardt,P. Schardt,A. Wirzba,A. Wirzba +15 more
TL;DR: Measurements on a superconducting three-dimensional, partly chaotic microwave billiard shaped such as a small deformed cup and a bouncing ball formula for electromagnetic billiards are presented and periodic orbits of the classical system are presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: In this paper, the transverse and longitudinal momentum distributions of Li-9 fragments from Li-11 break-up reactions in C, Al and Pb targets have been measured at 280 MeV/u.
Journal ArticleDOI
Chaos and Regularity in the Doubly Magic Nucleus ^{208}Pb.
TL;DR: A thorough study of the fluctuation properties in the energy spectra of the unprecedented set of nuclear bound states using the method of Bayesian inference involving a quantitative measure, called the chaoticity parameter f, which also interpolates between Poisson statistics expected for regular systems and Gaussian orthogonal ensemble (GOE) predicted for chaotic systems.
