Aqueous high-temperature chemistry of carbo- and heterocycles. 6. Monosubstituted benzenes with two carbon atom side chains unsubstituted or oxygenated at the .alpha.-position
Journal ArticleDOI
Approche theorique du problème de la tautomérie des triades HX-Y=Z⇆X=Y-ZH. I. Équilibre Amine-Imine (Y=CH, Z=NH)
TL;DR: In this article, the iminoamino tautomerism of four classes of related compounds, enamines, amidines, amides and thioamides, has been examined by means of the CNDO/2 method with complete geometry optimization.
Journal ArticleDOI
Heterocycles in organic synthesis. Part 42. Preparation of azides, phthalimides, and sulphonamides from primary amines
TL;DR: In this article, N-Alkyl and N-benzyl substituents are displaced from 2,4,6-triphenylpyridinium rations by nucleophilic azide, phthalimide, succinimide and sulphonamide anions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis and characterization of a redox-active ion channel supporting cation flux in lipid bilayers
Maia Tsikolia,Adam C. Hall,Cristina Suarez,Zazi O Nylander,Sarah M Wardlaw,Molly E Gibson,Kerry L Valentine,Louisa N Onyewadume,Deborah A. Ahove,Maya E. Woodbury,Margaret M Mongare,C. Dennis Hall,Zuoquan Wang,Bogdan Draghici,Alan R. Katritzky +14 more
TL;DR: The synthesis, cation binding and transmembrane conductive properties of a novel synthetic ion channel containing a redox-active ferrocene unit are described and it is revealed that this compound functioned effectively as an ion channel for both Na(+) and K(+).
