Journal ArticleDOI
The chemistry of N-substituted benzotriazoles. Part 7. The isomeric composition and mechanism of interconversion of some N-(aminomethyl)benzotriazole derivatives
Alan R. Katritzky,Konstantina Yannakopoulou,Wojciech Kuzmierkiewicz,Jose M. Aurrecoechea,Gus J. Palenik,Anna E. Koziol,Marian Szczesniak,Robert Skarjune +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, a variety of N-(dialkylaminomethyl)benzotriazoles are shown by 1H and 13C n.m.r., and X-ray crystallography to exist solely in the 1-substituted form in the crystalline phase, but as an equilibrium mixture of the 1 and 2-isomers in the liquid, melt, solution and argon matrix phases.
Journal ArticleDOI
A theoretical treatment of solvent effects on the tautomeric equilibria of five-membered rings with two heteroatoms
TL;DR: In this article, solvent reaction field effects were used to predict the relative stabilities of five-membered heterocycles containing two ring heteroatoms (nitrogen or oxygen) in aqueous solution.
Journal ArticleDOI
QSPR Study of Critical Micelle Concentrations of Nonionic Surfactants
TL;DR: In this article, linear and nonlinear predictive models were derived for a data set of 162 nonionic surfactants, and descriptors in the derived models relate to the molecular shape and size and the presence of he...
Journal ArticleDOI
Chlorine-35 nuclear quadrupole resonance and infrared spectroscopic studies of hydrogen bonding in complexes of dichloroacetic acid with nitrogen and oxygen bases: correlation of spectroscopic properties with proton affinity and aqueous pKa
B. Nogaj,Ewa Dulewicz,Bogumił Brycki,A. Hrynio,Piotr Barczyński,Zofia Dega-Szafran,Mirosław Szafran,Piotr. Koziol,Alan R. Katritzky +8 more
TL;DR: Proton affinities (PA) calculated for 57 compounds by the AM1 method, show no general overall correlation with pK a values, but individual classes of bases displayed significant trends.
Journal ArticleDOI
QSAR treatment of drugs transfer into human breast milk.
TL;DR: A satisfactory model is developed using CODESSA PRO for the correlation and prediction of milk to plasma concentration ratios (M/P ratio) for diverse pharmaceuticals and shows a satisfactory (R(2)=0.791) correlation between predicted and observed values of log( M/P) ratio.
