TL;DR: This paper describes how the VAMDC Consortium is organised for the optimal distribution of atomic and molecular data for scientific research and urges authors of research papers using data cite the original experimental and theoretical papers as well as the relevant databases.
Journal ArticleDOI
Radiolysis of ammonia-containing ices by energetic, heavy, and highly charged ions inside dense astrophysical environments
Sergio Pilling,E. Seperuelo Duarte,E. F. da Silveira,Emmanuel Balanzat,Hermann Rothard,Alicja Domaracka,Philippe Boduch +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the interaction of heavy, highly charged, and energetic ions (46 MeV 58Ni13+) with ammonia-containing ices H2O:NH3 (1:0.6: 0.5) and H 2O: NH3:CO (1.0.4) was studied inside a high vacuum chamber coupled to the IRRSUD (IR radiation SUD) beamline at the heavy-ion accelerator GANIL in Caen, France.
Journal ArticleDOI
Laboratory simulation of heavy-ion cosmic-ray interaction with condensed CO
E. Seperuelo Duarte,E. Seperuelo Duarte,E. Seperuelo Duarte,Alicja Domaracka,Philippe Boduch,Hermann Rothard,Emmanuel Dartois,E. F. da Silveira +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effects produced by fast heavy cosmic-ray ions in interstellar grain mantles were simulated with Ni ions of relatively high energy (50 and 537 MeV).
Journal ArticleDOI
Radiolysis of H2O:CO2 ices by heavy energetic cosmic ray analogs
Sergio Pilling,E. Seperuelo Duarte,Alicja Domaracka,Hermann Rothard,Philippe Boduch,E. F. da Silveira +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, an experimental study of the interaction of heavy, highly charged, and energetic ions (52 MeV 58Ni13+) with pure H2O, pure CO2 and mixed H 2O:CO2 astrophysical ice analogs is presented, aiming to simulate the chemical and physicochemical interactions induced by heavy cosmic rays inside dense and cold astrophysical environments, such as molecular clouds or protostellar clouds.
Journal ArticleDOI
Heavy ion irradiation of crystalline water ice - Cosmic ray amorphisation cross-section and sputtering yield
Emmanuel Dartois,Emmanuel Dartois,B. Augé,B. Augé,B. Augé,Philippe Boduch,Rosario Brunetto,Rosario Brunetto,Marin Chabot,Marin Chabot,Alicja Domaracka,J. J. Ding,O. Kamalou,X. Y. Lv,Hermann Rothard,E. F. da Silveira,J.C. Thomas +16 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors experimentally investigate heavy ion irradiation amorphisation of crystalline ice, at high energies closer to true cosmic rays, and explore the water-ice sputtering yield.
