Gender-specific antitumor action of aspirin in a murine model of a T-cell lymphoma bearing host.

TL;DR: The findings of the present investigation indicate that aspirin administration to male and female tumor-bearing hosts resulted in gender dependent differential tumor growth retardation and should be considered in designing of gender-specific therapeutic applications of aspirin.
Journal ArticleDOI

Efficacy of plasma vascular endothelial growth factor in monitoring first-line chemotherapy in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer

TL;DR: Monitoring of plasma VEGF levels during the course of first-line chemotherapy could identify patients who are likely to have insufficient response to therapy and disease progression at an early stage to help in individualizing treatment and could lead to better management of the advanced stage lung cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI

Level of phospho-STAT3 (Tyr705) correlates with copy number and physical state of human papillomavirus 16 genome in cervical precancer and cancer lesions

TL;DR: The study suggests that there exists a strong clinical correlation between level of active STAT3 expression and HPV genome copy number, and integrated state of the virus that may play a pivotal role in promotion/maintanence of tumorigenic phenotype.
Journal ArticleDOI

Tumor reversion: a dream or a reality.

TL;DR: A review of tumor regression models using available genome-editing methods, followed by in vitro and in vivo proteomics profiling techniques show early evidence that tumor reversion will reveal a new wave of therapeutic discoveries that will significantly impact clinical practice in cancer therapy as mentioned in this paper.
