Journal Article
Genetic aspects of pituitary tumors.
TL;DR: Despite the lack of mutations, several antioncogene proteins have been detected at extremely low levels in pituitary adenomas, consistent with a possible role of these tumor suppressors in pituitsary tumor formation.
Journal ArticleDOI
An unusual case of recurrent autoimmune hypophysitis.
Claudia Giavoli,Emanuele Ferrante,Silvia Bergamaschi,Cristina L. Ronchi,Andrea Lania,Anna Spada,Paolo Beck-Peccoz +6 more
TL;DR: This patient represents one of the few reported cases of recurrent hypophysitis and demonstrates that both pituitary enlargement and empty-sella can be seen in the same patient at different times of his history.
Journal ArticleDOI
Somatic mutational analysis of DAX1 in testes from men with idiopathic azoospermia.
Giovanna Mantovani,Mario Mancini,Giacomo Gazzano,Anna Spada,Giovanni M. Colpi,Paolo Beck-Peccoz,Luca Persani +6 more
TL;DR: DAX1 sequencing analysis in 15 testicular biopsy samples from men with idiopathic nonobstructive azoospermia did not reveal mutations in the coding region of the gene, and it is concluded that somatic abnormalities in DAX1 are absent or uncommon in these patients.
