Journal ArticleDOI
The relative orientation of the lipid and carbohydrate moieties of lipochitooligosaccharides related to nodulation factors depends on lipid chain saturation
Patrick Groves,Stefanie Offermann,Martin Ohsten Rasmussen,F. Javier Cañada,Jean-Jacques Bono,Hugues Driguez,Anne Imberty,Jesús Jiménez-Barbero +7 more
TL;DR: The distinct molecular structures of LCOs 1 and 2 have the potential to contribute to their selective binding by legume proteins and are studied by molecular modeling and NMR.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis of Mannosylated Glycodendrimers and Evaluation against BC2L-A Lectin from Burkholderia Cenocepacia.
TL;DR: Results show that a 24-valent structure binds to BC2L-A at nanomolar concentration, which makes this compound the highest affinity monodisperse ligand for this lectin.
Journal ArticleDOI
Linear and cyclic oligo-β-(1→6)-D-glucosamines: Synthesis, conformations, and applications for design of a vaccine and oligodentate glycoconjugates
Marina L. Gening,Yury E. Tsvetkov,Denis V. Titov,Alexey G. Gerbst,Olga N. Yudina,Alexey A. Grachev,Alexander S. Shashkov,Sébastien Vidal,Anne Imberty,Tanmoy Saha,Dnyaneshwar Kand,Pinaki Talukdar,Gerald B. Pier,Nikolay E. Nifantiev +13 more
TL;DR: Conformational studies by means of special NMR experiments and computer modeling revealed that the oligo-β-(1→6)-D-glucosamine chain exists mostly in a helix-like conformation, which provides a basis for the construction of a unique semisynthetic vaccine against multiple bacterial targets.
Journal ArticleDOI
Selective high-resolution DNP-enhanced NMR of biomolecular binding sites
Ildefonso Marin-Montesinos,David Goyard,Emilie Gillon,Olivier Renaudet,Anne Imberty,Sabine Hediger,Gaël De Paëpe +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a site-directed approach based on localized paramagnetic relaxation enhancement induced by a ligand-functionalized paramagnetic construct combined with difference spectroscopy was proposed to recover high-resolution and high-sensitivity information from binding sites.
Journal ArticleDOI
Lipopolysaccharides at the interface
TL;DR: A review of different approaches employed to investigate structural and biophysical properties of lipopolysaccharides (LPSs) can be found in this article , focusing on studies on Langmuir monolayers of LPS at the air/liquid interface and a range of supported LPS-containing model membranes reconstituted at solid/liquid interfaces.
