Journal ArticleDOI

Increasing the Hydrophilicity of Cyclic Ketene Acetals Improves the Hydrolytic Degradation of Vinyl Copolymers and the Interaction of Glycopolymer Nanoparticles with Lectins.

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors reported the copolymerization of 2-methylene-1,3,6-trioxocane (MTC) as a cyclic ketene acetals with vinyl ether (VE) or maleimide (MI) derivatives.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Crystal and Molecular Structure of a Diglycosylamine: The N-Analogue of Peracetylated α,β-Trehalose.

TL;DR: In this article, the first crystalline features in the diglycosylamine series were provided and this molecule can be considered as a N -analogue of peracetylated α, β -trehalose.

Neutron crystallography reveals novel mechanisms used by Pseudomonas aeruginosa for host-cell binding

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the mechanisms involved in binding based on neutron crystallography studies of a fully deuterated LecB/fucose/calcium complex, which revealed that the high affinity of binding may be related to the occurrence of a low barrier hydrogen bond induced by the proximity of the two calcium ions, the presence of coordination rings between the sugar, calcium and LecBs, and the dynamic behaviour of bridging water molecules at room temperature.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Novel Seven‐Membered Carbohydrate Phostone.

TL;DR: In this article, the seven-membered phostone arising from the attack of reagents on the acetal protecting group was obtained by treatment of methyl 2,3-di-O-benzyl-4,6-O-, 6-O,bensylidene-α(β)-d -glucopyranoside with triethyl phosphite and trimethylsilyl trifluoromethanesulfonate.
