Cell types of origin of the cell-free transcriptome

Mira N. Moufarrej, +166 more
- 07 Feb 2022 -
TL;DR: In this paper , cell-free RNA from liquid biopsies can be analyzed to determine disease tissue of origin using the Tabula Sapiens transcriptomic cell atlas as well as individual tissue transcriptome cell atlases in combination with the Human Protein Atlas RNA consensus dataset.
Journal ArticleDOI

Insect lipoprotein biogenesis depends on an amphipathic β cluster in apolipophorin II/I and is stimulated by microsomal triglyceride transfer protein

TL;DR: It is proposed that, despite specific modifications, the assembly of lipoproteins involves MTP as well as amphipathic structures in the apolipoprotein carrier, both in mammals and insects.

Fasting Induces a Highly Resilient Deep Quiescent State in Muscle Stem Cells via Ketone Body Signaling

TL;DR: It is reported that fasting slows muscle repair both immediately after the conclusion of fasting as well as after multiple days of refeeding, and it is demonstrated that p53 activation contributes to the deep quiescence and enhanced resilience observed during fasting.
Posted ContentDOI

Elevated CD47 is a hallmark of dysfunctional aged muscle stem cells that can be targeted to augment regeneration

TL;DR: The findings highlight a previously unrecognized age-dependent alteration in CD47 levels and function in MuSCs, which underlies reduced muscle repair in aging and can be overcome by morpholino-mediated blocking of CD47 alternative polyadenylation or antibody blockade ofCD47 signaling.
