Repurposing isoxazoline veterinary drugs for control of vector-borne human diseases.
Miglianico Marie,Maarten Eldering,Hannah C Slater,Neil M. Ferguson,Pauline Ambrose,Rosemary Susan Lees,Karin M. J. Koolen,Katerina Pruzinova,Magdalena Jancarova,Petr Volf,Constantianus J. M. Koenraadt,Hans-Peter Duerr,Graham P. Trevitt,Baiyuan Yang,Arnab Chatterjee,John Wisler,Angelika Sturm,Teun Bousema,Robert W. Sauerwein,Peter G. Schultz,Matthew S. Tremblay,Koen J. Dechering +21 more
TL;DR: It is predicted that a single human median dose of 260 mg for afoxolaner or 410 mg for fluralaner could provide an insecticidal effect lasting 50–90 days against mosquitoes and Phlebotomus sand flies, which represents a promising new component of drug-based vector control.
Journal ArticleDOI
2-Sulfonylpyridines as Tunable, Cysteine-Reactive Electrophiles
Claudio Zambaldo,Ekaterina V. Vinogradova,Xiaotian Qi,Jonathan Iaconelli,Radu M. Suciu,Minseob Koh,Kristine Senkane,Stormi R Chadwick,Brittany Sanchez,Jason S. Chen,Arnab Chatterjee,Peng Liu,Peter G. Schultz,Benjamin F. Cravatt,Michael J. Bollong +14 more
TL;DR: A modular and tunable SNAr-based reactive group for targeting reactive cysteines in the human proteome is introduced and the pharmacological utility of this electrophilic series is illustrated.

Universality in voting behavior: an empirical analysis
TL;DR: In this paper, the role of parties in the electoral performance of candidates is analyzed and it is shown that alternative scalings not taking into account party affiliations lead to poor results.
Journal ArticleDOI
Universality of citation distributions for academic institutions and journals
TL;DR: This work studies the distributions of citations to publications from individual academic institutions for a single year to find this feature seems to be universal for a broad selection of institutions irrespective of the average number of citations per article.

Targeted Disruption of Myc–Max Oncoprotein Complex by a Small Molecule
Seung H. Choi,Madhu Mahankali,Sang Jun Lee,Mitchell V. Hull,H. Michael Petrassi,Arnab Chatterjee,Peter G. Schultz,Katherine A. Jones,Weijun Shen +8 more
TL;DR: SAJM589 is a novel small molecule Myc inhibitor identified from a PCA-based high-throughput screen and suppressed cellular proliferation in diverse Myc-dependent cancer cell lines and anchorage independent growth of Raji cells, suggesting that sA JM589 may be a basis for the development of potential inhibitors of MyC-dependent cell growth.
