Journal ArticleDOI
Imaging viscous flow of the Dirac fluid in graphene.
Mark Ku,Tony X. Zhou,Qing Li,Young Jae Shin,Young Jae Shin,Jing K. Shi,Claire Burch,Laurel E. Anderson,Andrew T. Pierce,Yonglong Xie,Yonglong Xie,Assaf Hamo,Uri Vool,Huiliang Zhang,Francesco Casola,Takashi Taniguchi,Kenji Watanabe,Michael M. Fogler,Philip Kim,Amir Yacoby,Ronald L. Walsworth +20 more
TL;DR: In this article, a parabolic Poiseuille profile for electron flow in a high-mobility graphene channel near the charge-neutrality point was obtained using quantum diamond magnetometers.
Journal ArticleDOI
Real-space tailoring of the electron-phonon coupling in ultraclean nanotube mechanical resonators
TL;DR: In this paper, a mechanism for coupling the electrons and vibrational motion of a suspended carbon nanotube is demonstrated, where the position of quantum dots along the resonating tube enables spatial imaging of the mode shape.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Magnetic Genome of Two-Dimensional van der Waals Materials
Qing Hua Wang,Amilcar Bedoya-Pinto,Mark Blei,Avalon H. Dismukes,Assaf Hamo,Sarah N. M. Jenkins,Maciej Koperski,Yu Liu,Qi-Chao Sun,Evan J. Telford,Hyun Ho Kim,Mathias Augustin,Uri Vool,Jiaxin Yin,Lu Hua Li,Alexey Falin,Cory Dean,Fèlix Casanova,Richard Evans,Mairbek Chshiev,Artem Mishchenko,Cedomir Petrovic,Rui He,Liu-Bin Zhao,Adam W. Novoselov,Pengcheng Dai,Luis Balicas,Elton J. G. Santos +39 more
TL;DR: A comprehensive review of 2D magnetism can be found in this paper , where prominent authors with expertise in complementary fields of magnetism (i.e., synthesis, device engineering, magneto-optics, imaging, transport, mechanics, spin excitations, and theory and simulations) have joined together to provide a genome of current knowledge and a guideline for future developments in 2D magnetic materials research.
Journal ArticleDOI
Imaging the electronic Wigner crystal in one dimension.
I. Shapir,Assaf Hamo,Sharon Pecker,Cătălin Paşcu Moca,Cătălin Paşcu Moca,Örs Legeza,Gergely Zaránd,Shahal Ilani +7 more
TL;DR: These experiments provide the direct evidence for the formation of small Wigner crystals and open the way for studying other fragile interacting states by imaging their many-body density in real space.
Journal ArticleDOI
Imaging phonon-mediated hydrodynamic flow in WTe2
Uri Vool,Assaf Hamo,Georgios Varnavides,Georgios Varnavides,Yaxian Wang,Tony X. Zhou,Tony X. Zhou,Nitesh Kumar,Yuliya Dovzhenko,Ziwei Qiu,Christina A. C. Garcia,Andrew T. Pierce,Johannes Gooth,Johannes Gooth,Johannes Gooth,Polina Anikeeva,Claudia Felser,Claudia Felser,Prineha Narang,Amir Yacoby +19 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the spatial current profile within three-dimensional tungsten ditelluride was analyzed and it was shown that it exhibits non-uniform current density, indicating hydrodynamic flow.
