Journal ArticleDOI

4-Chloroanilinium 4-methylbenzenesulfonate

TL;DR: In the crystal structure of the title salt, C6H7ClN+·C7H7O3S−, the cations and anions are linked via N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds into double chains in [101].
Journal ArticleDOI

Crystal Structure of a Second Polymorph of Gabapentin Hydrochloride Hemihydrate with a Three-Center Bifurcated Hydrogen Bond

TL;DR: Gabapentin hydrochloride hemihydrate (Gpn, C6H17NO2) is a salt of C9H18NO2 + Cl− 0.5 H2O, which crystallizes in the monoclinic space group I 2/a with unit cell parameters a = 13.2467(3), b = 6.5552(2), c = 26.0094(8) A, β = 96.561(3)°, Z = 8.
Journal ArticleDOI

Donor-π-Acceptor-π-Donor class of 2,5-dibenzylidenecyclopentan-1-one analogues as efficient third order nonlinear optical and photoluminescent materials – An experimental investigation

TL;DR: In this paper, the third-order nonlinear optical measurements of bischalcone analogues were carried out by Z-scan technique, which revealed that these compounds possess strong third order nonlinear absorption (NLA), negative nonlinear refraction (NLR) and optical limiting behaviour under the illumination at 532 nm continuous wave laser beam (200mW).

Simple and facile methods for the determination of carvedilol in pharmaceuticals

TL;DR: In this paper, simple and sensitive methods for the determination of carvedilol (CAR) are described, based on the reaction of CAR with ninhydrin (NIN) in basic medium to form coloured iminium salt having absorption maximum at 402 nm and also with acetaldehyde (AA) in presence of sodium nitroprusside in the basic medium, to form colored product having absorbed maximum at 558 nm.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structural characterization, spectroscopic signatures, nonlinear optical response, and antioxidant property of 4-benzyloxybenzaldehyde and its binding activity with microtubule-associated tau protein

TL;DR: In this article, the non-linear optical response, spectroscopic signature and binding activity of 4-Benzyloxybenzaldehyde (4BB) has been investigated in order to find the vibrational contribution of functional groups in mixed or coupled modes in the FT-IR and FT-Raman spectra.
