Low- and high-thermogenic brown adipocyte subpopulations coexist in murine adipose tissue

TL;DR: Functional analyses showed that the low thermogenic brown adipocytes have significant lower basal mitochondrial respiration, and they are specialized in fatty acid uptake, and upon changes in environmental temperature, the two brown adipocyte subpopulations underwent dynamic inter-conversions.
Journal ArticleDOI

S1PR1 is an effective target to block STAT3 signaling in activated B cell–like diffuse large B-cell lymphoma

TL;DR: The results suggest that targeting S1P/S1PR1 using a clinically relevant and available drug or other approaches is potentially an effective new therapeutic modality for treating the activated B cell-like subtype of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, a subset of lymphoma that is less responsive to current available therapies.
Journal ArticleDOI

Gold Nanoparticle‐Loaded Neural Stem Cells for Photothermal Ablation of Cancer

TL;DR: Gold nanoparticles have shown great promise as a novel therapeutic technology for the treatment of cancer due to their non-cytotoxic nature, ease of synthesis and functionalization and, most importantly, their tunable plasmonic properties.
