TL;DR: Among patients with septic shock who had severe acute kidney injury, there was no significant difference in overall mortality at 90 days between patients who were assigned to an early strategy for the initiation of renal‐replacement therapy and those who were assign to a delayed strategy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Optimization of the treatment with beta-lactam antibiotics in critically ill patients—guidelines from the French Society of Pharmacology and Therapeutics (Société Française de Pharmacologie et Thérapeutique—SFPT) and the French Society of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine (Société Française d’Anesthésie et Réanimation—SFAR)

TL;DR: The experts strongly suggest the use of personalized dosing, continuous or prolonged infusion and therapeutic drug monitoring when administering βLA in critically ill patients.
Journal ArticleDOI
Clinical Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics of Oxazolidinones.
TL;DR: The potential use of tedizolid for other infections that could require longer therapy warrants further studies for positioning this new oxazolidinone in the available antimicrobial armamentarium.
Journal ArticleDOI

Paul,Jeffrey Lipman,Jeffrey Lipman +70 more
TL;DR: In critically ill patients treated with RRT, antibiotic dosing regimens, RRT prescription and eTRCL varied markedly and resulted in highly variable antibiotic concentrations that failed to meet therapeutic targets in many patients.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors found a strong positive correlation between plasma levels of soluble FasL (sFasL) and T cell surface expression of Fas/CD95 with the propensity of T cells to die and CD4 T cell counts.
