TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a comprehensive assessment of the conservation status and distribution of the world's mammals, including marine mammals, using data collected by 1700+ experts, covering all 5487 species.

The interactions between humans and mammals in Africa in relation to conservation: a review
TL;DR: The importance of each of these factors depends on the species, its location and habitat, and density of the human population as mentioned in this paper, and there has been an increase in the population numbers of some species in well-managed and well-protected conservation areas.
Journal ArticleDOI
Reproductive strategies of bats in Africa
TL;DR: The reproduction of 37 species of bats from Malawi was investigated, and the strategies (litter size and chronology) of seven species were determined, and reproduction was related to rainfall and (if possible) abundance of food.
