Baerlocher,Gabriela M. Baerlocher,Sophie Voruz,Olaia Naveiras,Emmanuel Jacquemin,Darius Moradpour,Montserrat Fraga +18 more
TL;DR: Telomeres are DNA-protein structures located at the chromosome ends and terminating with an essential single-stranded 3'-overhang that maintain genomic integrity by protecting chromosomes from degradation and illegitimate recombination.

Portal vein recanalisation alone to treat severe portal hypertension in non-cirrhotic patients with chronic extrahepatic portal vein obstruction
Florent Artru,N. Vietti-Violi,Christine Sempoux,J. Barbosa,Fabio Becce,Nelly Ezatul Fazlina Sah,Astrid Marot,Pierre Deltenre,Eleni Moschouri,Montserrat Fraga,Arnaud Hocquelet,Rafael Duran,Darius Moradpour,Pierre-Emmanuel Rautou,Alban Denys +14 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors evaluated the long-term outcome of patients with chronic non-cirrhotic extrahepatic portal vein obstruction (CNC-EHPVO) who underwent portal vein recanalisation (PVR) without transjugular intrahepsatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) insertion and to determine factors predicting PVR failure and stent occlusion.

[Hepatitis C: epidemiology natural course and diagnosis].
Darius Moradpour,Beat Müllhaupt +1 more
TL;DR: Recent advances in the understanding of the molecular virology, pathogenesis and natural course as well as the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of hepatitis C have been made in over the last 25 years since the discovery of HCV.
Journal ArticleDOI
LP54 : Sofosbuvir inhibits hepatitis E virus replication in vitro and results in an additive effect when combined with ribavirin
TL;DR: It is shown that sofosbuvir inhibits the replication of hepatitis E virus genotype 3 both in subgenomic replicon systems as well as a full-length infectious clone, resulting in an additive antiviral effect.
Journal ArticleDOI
Oral valganciclovir for cytomegalovirus colitis after liver transplantation.
Oriol Manuel,Pascal Meylan,Samuel Rotman,Massimiliano Fontana,Darius Moradpour,Manuel Pascual +5 more
TL;DR: The successful treatment with oral valganciclovir of a liver transplant recipient with CMV colitis is described, i.e. a rapid resolution of gastrointestinal symptoms and CMV infection, but with the advantage of a practical outpatient regimen.
