Journal ArticleDOI

Calreticulin promotes cell motility and enhances resistance to anoikis through STAT3-CTTN-Akt pathway in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.

TL;DR: A role of CRT in motility promotion and anoikis resistance in ESCC cells is revealed and CRT is identified as an upstream regulator in the CRT–STAT3–CTTN–PI3K–Akt pathway.
Journal ArticleDOI

Consistent and Differential Genetic Aberrations between Esophageal Dysplasia and Squamous Cell Carcinoma Detected By Array Comparative Genomic Hybridization

TL;DR: Copy number aberrations in both esophageal dysplasia and ESCC may be useful as potential biomarkers for early detection and ANO1 may be a candidate target gene in esophagal tumorigenesis.
Journal ArticleDOI

ELMER v.2: an R/Bioconductor package to reconstruct gene regulatory networks from DNA methylation and transcriptome profiles.

TL;DR: A completely revised version 2 of ELMER is presented that provides numerous new features including an optional web-based interface and a new Supervised Analysis mode to use pre-defined sample groupings and it is shown that Supervised mode significantly increases statistical power and identifies additional GRNs and associated Master Regulators, such as SOX11 and KLF5 in Basal-like breast cancer.
