Lopez,Satoshi Minoshima,Yoshikuni Mizuno,José Antonio Molina,Elizabeta B. Mukaetova-Ladinska,Florence Pasquier,Robert H. Perry,Jörg B. Schulz,John Q. Trojanowski,Masahito Yamada +45 more
TL;DR: The dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB) Consortium has revised criteria for the clinical and pathologic diagnosis of DLB incorporating new information about the core clinical features and suggesting improved methods to assess them as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Accurate differentiation of parkinsonism and essential tremor using visual assessment of [123I]-FP-CIT SPECT imaging: the [123I]-FP-CIT study group.
Hani T.S. Benamer,Jim Patterson,Donald G. Grosset,Jan Booij,K. De Bruin,E. A. Van Royen,Johannes D. Speelman,M. H. I. M. Horstink,H. J. W. A. Sips,Rudi Dierckx,J. Versijpt,Danny Decoo,C. TL;DR: To evaluate whether visual assessment of [123I]‐FP‐CIT (DaTSCAN) single photon emission computerized tomography (SPECT) images can differentiate between parkinsonism and essential tremor (ET), a blinded study is conducted.
Journal ArticleDOI
Recognition of mental state terms. Clinical findings in children with autism and a functional neuroimaging study of normal adults.
TL;DR: This simple mental state recognition task appears to relate to theory of mind, in that both the orbito-frontal cortex and the frontal-polar region are impaired in autism.
Journal ArticleDOI
Clinical role of positron emission tomography in oncology.
TL;DR: Clear benefit is obtained with FDG PET in the assessment of patients with recurrent or residual disease, especially colorectal cancer and lymphoma, and rapid decline of FDG uptake has been observed in responsive cancers.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dementia with Lewy bodies: a comparison of clinical diagnosis, FP-CIT single photon emission computed tomography imaging and autopsy
Zuzana Walker,Evelyn Jaros,Rodney W. H. Walker,Lean Lee,Durval C. Costa,Gill Livingston,Paul G. Ince,Robert H. Perry,Ian G. McKeith,Cornelius Katona +9 more
TL;DR: FP-CIT SPECT scans substantially enhanced the accuracy of diagnosis of DLB by comparison with clinical criteria alone, in a series of patients with dementia in whom autopsy confirmation of diagnosis was available.
