Ensemble Forecasts of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the U.S.

TL;DR: This analysis demonstrates that real-time, publicly available ensemble forecasts issued in April-July 2020 provided robust short-term predictions of reported COVID-19 deaths in the United States, highlighting the importance of combining multiple probabilistic models and assessing forecast skill at different prediction horizons.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evaluation of individual and ensemble probabilistic forecasts of COVID-19 mortality in the United States

Estee Y Cramer, +294 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors compared the probabilistic accuracy of short-term forecasts of reported deaths due to COVID-19 during the first year and a half of the pandemic in the United States.

Evaluation of individual and ensemble probabilistic forecasts of COVID-19 mortality in the US

Estee Y Cramer, +284 more
- 05 Feb 2021 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors systematically evaluated 23 models that regularly submitted forecasts of reported weekly incident COVID-19 mortality counts in the US at the state and national level at the CDC.
Journal ArticleDOI

Plasmodium falciparum Parasitemia and Band Sensitivity of the SD Bioline Malaria Ag P.f/Pan Rapid Diagnostic Test in Madagascar.

TL;DR: Patients seeking care for suspected malaria infection were analyzed by RDT, microscopy, and Plasmodium species-specific, ligase detection reaction-fluorescent microsphere assay (LDR-FMA), finding that a positive pLDH band in high P. falciparum-parasitemic individuals may complicate diagnosis and treatment.
