Journal ArticleDOI
Kinetics of SARS-CoV-2 specific IgM and IgG responses in COVID-19 patients.
Baoqing Sun,Ying Feng,Xiaoneng Mo,Peiyan Zheng,Qian Wang,Pingchao Li,Ping Peng,Xiaoqing Liu,Zhilong Chen,Huimin Huang,Fan Zhang,Wenting Luo,Xuefeng Niu,Peiyu Hu,Longyu Wang,Hui Peng,Zhifeng Huang,Liqiang Feng,Feng Li,Fuchun Zhang,Fang Li,Nanshan Zhong,Ling Chen,Ling Chen +23 more
TL;DR: N and S specific IgM and IgG increased gradually after symptom onset and can be used for detection of SARS-CoV-2 infection.
Journal ArticleDOI
An adenovirus-vectored COVID-19 vaccine confers protection from SARS-COV-2 challenge in rhesus macaques.
Liqiang Feng,Liqiang Feng,Qian Wang,Qian Wang,Chao Shan,Chenchen Yang,Ying Feng,Jia Wu,Liu Xiaolin,Yiwu Zhou,Ren-Di Jiang,Peiyu Hu,Xinglong Liu,Fan Zhang,Pingchao Li,Xuefeng Niu,Yichu Liu,Xuehua Zheng,Jia Luo,Jing Sun,Yingying Gu,Bo Liu,Yongcun Xu,Chufang Li,Weiqi Pan,Jincun Zhao,Changwen Ke,Xinwen Chen,Tao Xu,Nanshan Zhong,Guan Suhua,Zhiming Yuan,Ling Chen,Ling Chen +33 more
TL;DR: A replication-incompetent adenovirus based vaccine expressing SARS-CoV-2 spike is generated, protection from infection in non-human primates is shown, and the immune response after intramuscular and intranasal vaccination is analyzed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Chloroquine inhibits endosomal viral RNA release and autophagy-dependent viral replication and effectively prevents maternal to fetal transmission of Zika virus.
Shengnan Zhang,Changhua Yi,Chufang Li,Fan Zhang,Jiaojiao Peng,Qian Wang,Xinglong Liu,X.L. Ye,Pingchao Li,Min Wu,Qihong Yan,Wenjing Guo,Xuefeng Niu,Liqiang Feng,Weiqi Pan,Ling Chen,Ling Chen,Linbing Qu +17 more
TL;DR: It is found that chloroquine exerts at least two mechanisms in protecting against ZIKV infection: inhibiting endosomal disassembly of the internalized virus and thus reducing the release of viral RNA to the cytoplasm for replication.
Journal ArticleDOI
Convalescent patient-derived monoclonal antibodies targeting different epitopes of E protein confer protection against Zika virus in a neonatal mouse model
Xuefeng Niu,Lingzhai Zhao,Linbing Qu,Zhipeng Yao,Fan Zhang,Qihong Yan,Shengnan Zhang,Renshan Liang,Peihai Chen,Jia Luo,Wei Xu,Huibin Lv,Xinglong Liu,Hui Lei,Changhua Yi,Pingchao Li,Qian Wang,Wang Yang,Lei Yu,Xiaoyan Zhang,L. Aubrey Bryan,Edgar Davidson,j. Benjamin Doranz,Liqiang Feng,Weiqi Pan,Fuchun Zhang,Ling Chen +26 more
TL;DR: Although the patient was seronegative for DENV infection, mAb 1C11, originating from the VH3-23 and VK1-5 germline pair, neutralized both ZIKV and DENV1.
Journal ArticleDOI
Arsenic Trioxide Impacts Viral Latency and Delays Viral Rebound after Termination of ART in Chronically SIV‐Infected Macaques
Qing Yang,Fengling Feng,Pingchao Li,Enxiang Pan,Chunxiu Wu,Yizi He,Fan Zhang,Jin Zhao,Ruiting Li,Liqiang Feng,Fengyu Hu,Linghua Li,Huachun Zou,Weiping Cai,Thomas Lehner,Caijun Sun,Caijun Sun,Ling Chen +17 more
TL;DR: Arsenic trioxide in combination with ART is suggested to be a novel regimen in down‐sizing or even eradicating latent HIV‐1 reservoir, and an increase in SIV‐specific immune responses after arsenic trioxide treatment may contribute to suppression of viral rebound.
