Perceived parenting and risk for major depression in Chinese women
J. Gao,Yihan Li,Y. Cai,Jianhua Chen,Yuan Shen,S. Ni,Yan Wei,Y. Qiu,X. Zhu,Liu Ying,C. Lu,C. Chen,Qihui Niu,C. Tang,Y. Yang,Qian Wang,W. Cui,Jing Xia,Tiebang Liu,J Zhang,B. Zhao,Z. Guo,Jiyang Pan,H. Chen,Y. Luo,Lixian Sun,X. Xiao,Q Chen,X Zhao,Feng He,L Lv,L. Guo,L. Liu,H. Li,Shenxun Shi,Jonathan Flint,Kenneth S. Kendler,Ming Tao +37 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that cultural factors impact on patterns of parenting and their association with MD, and high parental protectiveness is generally pathogenic in Western countries but protective in China, especially when received from the father.
Journal ArticleDOI
Childhood Maltreatment and Lifetime Suicidal Behaviors Among New Soldiers in the US Army: Results From the Army Study to Assess Risk and Resilience in Servicemembers (Army STARRS).
Murray B. Stein,Laura Campbell-Sills,Robert J. Ursano,Anthony J. Rosellini,Lisa J. Colpe,Feng He,Steven G. Heeringa,Matthew K. Nock,Nancy A. Sampson,Michael Schoenbaum,Xiaoying Sun,Sonia Jain,Ronald C. Kessler +12 more
TL;DR: It is found that childhood maltreatment is strongly associated with suicidal behavior among new soldiers, even after adjusting for intervening mental disorders.
Journal ArticleDOI
Genome-wide analyses of psychological resilience in U.S. Army soldiers.
Murray B. Stein,Murray B. Stein,Karmel W. Choi,Sonia Jain,Laura Campbell-Sills,Chia-Yen Chen,Chia-Yen Chen,Joel Gelernter,Feng He,Steven G. Heeringa,Adam X. Maihofer,Caroline M. Nievergelt,Matthew K. Nock,Stephan Ripke,Stephan Ripke,Stephan Ripke,Xiaoying Sun,Ronald C. Kessler,Jordan W. Smoller,Jordan W. Smoller,Robert J. Ursano +20 more
TL;DR: The further study of genetic determinants of resilience has the potential to illuminate the molecular bases of stress‐related psychopathology and point to new avenues for therapeutic intervention.
Journal ArticleDOI
In vivo inhibition of neuropeptide FF agonism by BIBP3226, an NPY Y1 receptor antagonist.
TL;DR: Investigation of in vivo pharmacologic profiles induced by exogenous NPFF and NPVF suggests that BIBP3226, a mixed antagonist of NPY Y1 and NPFF receptor, shows in vivo antagonistic effects on NPFF receptors, and it seems to be clear that the in vivo Pharmacological profiles of NPFF are mediated directly byNPFF receptors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Development of flexible-heteroarotinoids for kidney cancer.
Tongzu Liu,Chioniso P. Masamha,Shylet Chengedza,K. Darrell Berlin,Stan Lightfoot,Feng He,Doris M. Benbrook +6 more
TL;DR: Flexible Heteroarotinoid regulates growth, differentiation, and apoptosis in kidney cancer cells through multiple molecular events downstream of nuclear factor-κB repression, thus offering alternatives for improvement of therapeutic value.
