Journal ArticleDOI
Proteomic comparison defines novel markers to characterize heterogeneous populations of extracellular vesicle subtypes.
Joanna Kowal,Guillaume Arras,Marina Colombo,Mabel Jouve,Jakob Paul Morath,Bjarke Primdal-Bengtson,Florent Dingli,Damarys Loew,Mercedes Tkach,Clotilde Théry +9 more
TL;DR: This work demonstrates the presence of exosomal and nonexosomal subpopulations within small EVs, and proposes their differential separation by immuno-isolation using either CD63, CD81, or CD9, and provides guidelines to define subtypes of EVs for future functional studies.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cancer-associated fibroblasts induce metalloprotease-independent cancer cell invasion of the basement membrane
Alexandros Glentis,Philipp Oertle,Pascale Mariani,Aleksandra Chikina,Fatima El Marjou,Youmna Attieh,Francois Zaccarini,Marick Laé,Damarys Loew,Florent Dingli,Philemon Sirven,Marie Schoumacher,Basile G. Gurchenkov,Marija Plodinec,Marija Plodinec,Danijela Matic Vignjevic +15 more
TL;DR: It is shown that cancer-associated fibroblasts facilitate colon cancer cells invasion in a matrix metalloproteinase-independent manner, likely by pulling and stretching the basement membrane to form gaps.
Journal ArticleDOI
Live Tracking of Inter-organ Communication by Endogenous Exosomes In Vivo.
Frederik J. Verweij,Frederik J. Verweij,Céline Revenu,Guillaume Arras,Florent Dingli,Damarys Loew,D. Michiel Pegtel,Gautier Follain,Guillaume Allio,Jacky G. Goetz,Pascale Zimmermann,Philippe Herbomel,Filippo Del Bene,Graça Raposo,Guillaume van Niel +14 more
TL;DR: This work developed an in vivo model to study EV function by expressing CD63-pHluorin in zebrafish embryos with high spatiotemporal accuracy, demonstrating functional inter-organ communication by exosomes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Specificities of exosome versus small ectosome secretion revealed by live intracellular tracking of CD63 and CD9.
Mathilde Mathieu,Mathilde Mathieu,Nathalie Névo,Mabel Jouve,José Ignacio Valenzuela,Mathieu Maurin,Frederik J. Verweij,Roberta Palmulli,Roberta Palmulli,Danielle Lankar,Florent Dingli,Damarys Loew,Eric Rubinstein,Gaelle Boncompain,Franck Perez,Clotilde Théry +15 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors follow intracellular trafficking of the extracellular vesicles (EVs) markers CD9 and CD63 from the endoplasmic reticulum to their residency compartment, respectively PM and late endosomes.
Journal ArticleDOI
SUMOylation promotes de novo targeting of HP1α to pericentric heterochromatin
Christèle Maison,Delphine Bailly,Delphine Bailly,Danièle Roche,Danièle Roche,Rocío Montes de Oca,Rocío Montes de Oca,Aline V. Probst,Aline V. Probst,Aline V. Probst,Isabelle Vassias,Isabelle Vassias,Florent Dingli,Bérengère Lombard,Damarys Loew,Jean-Pierre Quivy,Jean-Pierre Quivy,Geneviève Almouzni,Geneviève Almouzni +18 more
TL;DR: The presence of long nuclear noncoding transcripts corresponding to major satellite repeats at the periphery of pericentric heterochromatin is revealed and it is found that major transcripts in the forward orientation specifically associate with SUMO-modified HP1 proteins.
