Planck intermediate results - III. The relation between galaxy cluster mass and Sunyaev-Zeldovich signal

Peter A. R. Ade, +226 more
TL;DR: In this article, the relation between the galaxy cluster mass M and Sunyaev-Zeldovich (SZ) effect signal {DA2} Y500 for a sample of 19 objects for which weak lensing (WL) mass measurements obtained from Subaru Telescope data are available in the literature.
Journal ArticleDOI

Planck 2013 results. XXXI. Consistency of the Planck data

Peter A. R. Ade, +181 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyse the level of consistency achieved in the 2013 Planck data and analyse calibration procedures and beams to determine what fraction of these differences can be explained by known approximations or systematic errors that could be controlled even better in the future, reducing uncertainties still further.
Journal ArticleDOI

The S-PASS view of polarized Galactic Synchrotron at 2.3 GHz as a contaminant to CMB observations

TL;DR: In this paper, the angular distribution of the S-pass signal at intermediate and high Galactic latitudes was analyzed by means of angular power spectra, showing a decay of the spectral amplitude as a function of multipole for > 200, typical of diffuse emission.
Journal ArticleDOI

Planck 2013 results. XXXI. Consistency of the Planck data

Peter A. R. Ade, +242 more
TL;DR: In this article, a comparison between the Planck data and power spectra is made, particularly over the angular scales of the first and second acoustic peaks, on maps masked for diffuse Galactic emission and for strong unresolved sources.
Journal ArticleDOI

Planck early results. XIV. ERCSC validation and extreme radio sources

Peter A. R. Ade, +259 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors combine the results of the Planck Early Release Compact Source Catalog (ERCSC) with quasi-simultaneous ground-based observations as well as archival data at frequencies below or overlapping Planck frequency bands, to validate the astrometry and photometry of the ERCSC radio sources and study the spectral features shown in this new frequency window opened by Planck.
