Changes in West African Summer Monsoon Precipitation Under Stratospheric Aerosol Geoengineering
C. Y. Da-Allada,E. Baloïtcha,Eric Adéchina Alamou,F. M. Awo,Frédéric Bonou,Y. W. Pomalegni,Eliezer Iboukoun Biao,Ezéchiel Obada,Josué Zandagba,Simone Tilmes,Peter J. Irvine +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the potential impact of SAG on the West African Summer Monsoon (WASM) precipitation and the involved physical processes and found that under SAG, during the monsoon period, precipitation increases by 44.76%, 19.74%, and 5.14% compared to the present-day climate in the Northern Sahel, Southern Sahel and Western Africa regions, respectively.

Beach Response to Wave Forcing from Event to Inter-Annual Time Scales at Grand Popo, Benin (Gulf of Guinea)
Gregoire Abessolo Ondoa,Frédéric Bonou,Folly Serge Tomety,Yves du Penhoat,Clément Perret,Cossi Georges Epiphane Degbe,Rafael Almar +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors assess the morphological storm-event impact, seasonal cycles, trends of wave forcing, and beach's response at the coastal area of Grand Popo, Benin.

The Western South Atlantic Ocean in a High-CO2 World: Current Measurement Capabilities and Perspectives.
Rodrigo Kerr,Leticia Cotrim da Cunha,Ruy Kenji Papa de Kikuchi,Paulo Antunes Horta,Rosane Gonçalves Ito,Marius N. Müller,Iole B.M. Orselli,Jannine M. Lencina-Avila,Manoela R. de Orte,Laura Sordo,Bárbara Ramos Pinheiro,Frédéric Bonou,Nadine Schubert,Ellie Bergstrom,Margareth Copertino +14 more
TL;DR: It is shown that the western South Atlantic Ocean (WSAO) lacks appropriate observations for determining regional OA effects, including the effects of OA on key sensitive Brazilian ecosystems in this area, and outlines long-term actions that should be taken to manage marine ecosystems inThis vast and unexplored ocean region.
Journal ArticleDOI
Distribution of CO2 parameters in the Western Tropical Atlantic Ocean
TL;DR: In this article, the variability of sea surface Total Alkalinity (TA) and sea surface total Inorganic Carbon (C T ) was examined using all available data in the western tropical Atlantic (WTA: 20°S-20°N, 60°W -20°W).
