Journal ArticleDOI

Acute lung injury in pediatric intensive care in Australia and New Zealand: a prospective, multicenter, observational study.

TL;DR: Ventilatory variables and indexes of lung severity were significantly associated with mortality and higher maximum and median tidal volumes were associated with reduced mortality, even when corrected for severity of lung disease.
Journal ArticleDOI

Part 6: Pediatric basic life support and pediatric advanced life support: 2015 International Consensus on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care Science with Treatment Recommendations☆☆☆

TL;DR: The Pediatric Task Force reviewed all questions submitted by the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation member councils in 2010, reviewed all council training materials and resuscitation guidelines and algorithms, and conferred on recent areas of interest and controversy.
Journal ArticleDOI

2017 International Consensus on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care Science With Treatment Recommendations Summary

Theresa M. Olasveengen, +48 more
- 05 Dec 2017 -
TL;DR: The International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation has initiated a near-continuous review of cardiopulmonary resuscitation science that replaces the previous 5-year cyclic batch-and-queue approach process and lists the top 3 knowledge gaps for each population, intervention, comparator, and outcome question.
Journal ArticleDOI

2019 International Consensus on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care Science With Treatment Recommendations: Summary From the Basic Life Support; Advanced Life Support; Pediatric Life Support; Neonatal Life Support; Education, Implementation, and Teams; and First Aid Task Forces

Jasmeet Soar, +122 more
- 10 Dec 2019 -
TL;DR: This summary addresses the role of cardiac arrest centers and dispatcher-assisted cardiopulmonary resuscitation, the role for presyncope by first aid providers, advanced airway interventions in adults and children, targeted temperature management in children after cardiac arrest, and initial oxygen concentration during resuscitation of newborns.
