Biopsy histomorphometry predicts uterine myoinvasion by endometrial carcinoma: a Gynecologic Oncology
TL;DR: Formal histomorphometry of endometrial biopsies using the 4C rule has been validated as a means to identify a subset of women with premalignant disease who are unlikely to have concurrent myoinvasive adenocarcinoma and who may qualify for alternative nonsurgical therapies.
Journal ArticleDOI
Allelic loss in human papillomavirus-positive and -negative vulvar squamous cell carcinomas.
Álvaro P. Pinto,Ming-Chieh Lin,George L. Mutter,Deqin Sun,Luisa L. Villa,Christopher P. Crum +5 more
TL;DR: VSCCs exhibit a broad range of allelic losses irrespective of HPV status, with high frequencies of LOH on certain chromosomal arms, which suggests that despite their differences in pathogenesis, both HPV-positive and -negative VSCCs share similarities in type and range of genetic losses during their evolution.
Journal ArticleDOI
Biopsy histomorphometry predicts uterine myoinvasion by endometrial carcinoma: a Gynecologic Oncology Group study
TL;DR: This paper applied the histomorphometric 4-class rule (4C) to diagnostic endometrial biopsies to predict myoinvasive cancer outcomes at hysterectomy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Issues in the Differential Diagnosis of Uterine Low-grade Endometrioid Carcinoma, Including Mixed Endometrial Carcinomas: Recommendations From the International Society of Gynecological Pathologists
Joseph T. Rabban,C. Blake Gilks,Anais Malpica,Xavier Matias-Guiu,Khush Mittal,George L. Mutter,Esther Oliva,Vinita Parkash,Brigitte M. Ronnett,Paul N. Staats,Colin J.R. Stewart,W. Glenn McCluggage +11 more
TL;DR: This article provides practical recommendations developed from the International Society of Gynecological Pathologists Endometrial Carcinoma Project to address 4 issues that may arise in the diagnosis of uterine corpus low-grade endometrioid carcinoma.
Journal ArticleDOI
Toxicology Study of Single-walled Carbon Nanotubes and Reduced Graphene Oxide in Human Sperm.
Waseem Asghar,Waseem Asghar,Hadi Shafiee,Vanessa Velasco,Vanessa Velasco,Vasu R. Sah,Shirui Guo,Rami El Assal,Fatih Inci,Adhithi Rajagopalan,Muntasir Jahangir,Raymond M. Anchan,George L. Mutter,Mihrimah Ozkan,Cengiz S. Ozkan,Utkan Demirci,Utkan Demirci +16 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that exposure to single walled carbon nanotubes and reduced graphene oxide does not hinder the sperm sorting process, and microfluidic sorting systems can select the sperm that show low oxidative stress post-exposure.
