The statistics of gravitational lenses in a clumpy Universe

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of small-scale inhomogeneities on large-scale observations within the statistics of gravitationally lensed quasars is evaluated. But the authors consider a cosmological model whose large scale properties (dynamics, matter distribution) are the same as in Friedmann-Lemaˆ itre models, but whose matter distribution is locally inhomogeneous.

The DarkSide experiment: present status and future

G. Zuzel, +187 more
- 07 Mar 2017 -
TL;DR: DarkSide-50 is a multi-stage program devoted to direct searches of Dark Matter particles with detectors based on double phase liquid Argon Time Projection Chamber as mentioned in this paper. But it has not yet achieved a WIMP-nucleon spin-independent cross-section of 2.0×10(−)(44) cm(2) with a mass of 100 GeV/c(2).

SOURCE-PLANE RECONSTRUCTION OF THE GIANT GRAVITATIONAL ARC IN A2667: A CANDIDATE WOLF-RAYET GALAXY AT z ∼ 1

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors presented an updated lens model that allows them to fully understand the lensing geometry and reconstruct the lensed galaxy in the source plane, which is a typical spiral galaxy with a morphology similar to the structure of its counterparts at higher redshift.
