TL;DR: The 4 new risk loci for AAA seem to be specific for AAA compared with other cardiovascular diseases and related traits suggesting that traditional cardiovascular risk factor management may only have limited value in preventing the progression of aneurysmal disease.
Journal ArticleDOI
The mechanical properties of fresh and cryopreserved arterial homografts
Fryderyk Pukacki,T. Jankowski,Marcin Gabriel,Grzegorz Oszkinis,Zbigniew Krasiński,Stanisław Zapalski +5 more
TL;DR: Cryopreservation maintains the important elastic properties of arterial and venous allografts during average storage time of 22 days.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cryopreserved arterial allografts in the treatment of prosthetic graft infections.
TL;DR: Aortic allografts are useful in the treatment of infection of major vascular prosthetic grafts, except for patients with aorto-enteric fistula, who should be promptly assessed for graft removal.
Journal ArticleDOI
Comparison of Superb Micro-Vascular Ultrasound Imaging (SMI) and Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasound (CEUS) for Detection of Endoleaks After Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR).
Marcin Gabriel,Jolanta Tomczak,Magdalena Snoch-Ziółkiewicz,Łukasz Dzieciuchowicz,Ewa Strauss,Grzegorz Oszkinis +5 more
TL;DR: A 68-year-old patient who had stent-graft implantation underwent clinical examinations, including contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS), superb micro-vascular imaging (SMI), and computed tomographic angiography (CTA), revealing additional information about abnormal blood flow localized in the periphery of the sack of the left common iliac artery aneurysm.
Journal ArticleDOI
Morphological Differences in the Aorto-iliac Segment in AAA Patients of Caucasian and Asian Origin
Igor Banzic,Qingsheng Lu,Lei Zhang,H. Stepak,Lazar Davidovic,Grzegorz Oszkinis,A. Mladenovic,Maja Markovic,Zoran Rancic,Zaiping Jing,M. Brankovic +10 more
TL;DR: The results showed that aorto-iliac anatomy in Caucasians differs significantly from Asians, particularly in the length of the common iliac arteries and infrarenal abdominal aorta, and in the transverse diameter of thecommon, external iliAC, and common femoral arteries.
