Removal of Tannin from Aqueous Solution by Adsorption onto Treated Coal Fly Ash: Kinetic, Equilibrium, and Thermodynamic Studies

TL;DR: In this paper, the performance of tannin adsorption on treated coal fly ash was investigated and it was shown that the adsorbed amount of Tannin was higher at 20 °C than other temperature levels.
Journal ArticleDOI

A stepwise cluster analysis method for predicting air quality in an urban environment

TL;DR: In this paper, a stepwise cluster analysis method has been applied to air quality prediction, which can effectively deal with continuous and discrete variables, as well as nonlinear relations between the variables.
Journal ArticleDOI

Scenario analysis of carbon emissions' anti-driving effect on Qingdao's energy structure adjustment with an optimization model, Part I: Carbon emissions peak value prediction

TL;DR: In this paper, an extended STIRPAT model was introduced to determine the relationship between CO2 emissions and different driving factors (permanent resident population, economic level, technical level, urbanization level, energy consumption structure, service level, and foreign trade degree).
Journal ArticleDOI

Development of a forecasting system for supporting remediation design and process control based on NAPL-biodegradation simulation and stepwise-cluster analysis

TL;DR: In this article, a forecasting system has been developed for supporting remediation design and process control based on techniques of NAPL-biodegradation (nonaqueous phase liquid biodegradation) simulation and stepwise-cluster analysis (SCA).
Journal ArticleDOI

Simulation-based process optimization for surfactant-enhanced aquifer remediation at heterogeneous DNAPL-contaminated sites

TL;DR: The results in simulating a typical PCE spill event and the associated SEAR remediation operations in a heterogeneous subsurface indicated that SEAR would be capable of cleaning up the contaminated aquifer with improved efficiencies and cost-effectiveness compared with direct pump-and-treat actions.
