An Inexact Credibility Chance-Constrained Integer Programming for Greenhouse Gas Mitigation Management in Regional Electric Power System under Uncertainty

TL;DR: In this paper, an interval-parameter credibility constrained programming (ICCP) method was developed for electric power system planning in light of GHG mitigation, which was advantageous in tackling uncertainties expressed as not only fuzzy possibilistic distributions associated with the right-hand-side components of model constraints but also discrete intervals in the objective function.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dynamic wastewater-induced research based on input-output analysis for Guangdong Province, China

TL;DR: It is uncovered that Primary Manufacturing and Advanced Manufacturing dominate the system because of significant temporal and spatial variations in wastewater discharge, and Manufacturing of paper, computer and machinery and Services are the key industries responsible for large amounts of wastewater discharge and unhealthy source-discharge relationships.
Journal ArticleDOI

Climate-change impacts on electricity demands at a metropolitan scale: A case study of Guangzhou, China

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of climate change on total electricity consumption and residential electricity consumption at a regional scale, with a case study in Guangzhou, China, were quantified using the Mann-Kendall test.

Interval Recourse Linear Programming for Resources and Environmental Systems Management under Uncertainty

TL;DR: In this paper, an interval recourse linear programming (IRLP) approach is proposed for mitigating constraint violation problems in resources and environmental systems management (REM) under interval uncertainties, based on a review of interval linear programming and its significances to REM, two linear programming sub-models are employed to initialize a decision space for IRLP.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of aeration parameters on effluent quality and membrane fouling in a submerged membrane bioreactor using Box-Behnken response surface methodology.

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of aeration on effluent quality and membrane fouling as well as fouled membrane cleaning methods are investigated. And the optimal control parameters for aeration flow rate, time and position were found utilizing the Minitab optimizer.
