Metal-organic frameworks as an emerging tool for sensing various targets in aqueous and biological media
Waseem Raza,Deepak Kukkar,Deepak Kukkar,Hammad Saulat,Nadeem Raza,Mudassar Azam,Andleeb Mehmood,Ki-Hyun Kim +7 more
TL;DR: Water-stable metal organic frameworks (WMOFs) as mentioned in this paper have been used extensively for numerous sensing applications in aqueous and biological media with or without structural modifications (e.g., addition of chemical functionalities, development of thin films, or tuning of morphologies).
Journal ArticleDOI
Preparation and applications of calcium carbonate whisker with a special focus on construction materials
TL;DR: In this paper, a review of different basic preparation techniques of calcium carbonate whisker such as metathesis reaction, sol-gel, carbonation, gravity crystallization and urea hydrolysis are described briefly.
Journal ArticleDOI
A review on the deteriorating situation of smog and its preventive measures in Pakistan
Waseem Raza,Saad Saeed,Hammad Saulat,Hajera Gul,Muhammad Sarfraz,Christian Sonne,Z. H. Sohn,Richard J. C. Brown,Ki-Hyun Kim +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors discuss the major issues concerning smog in Pakistan: the causes, methods of detection, hazardous effects, and opportunities for preventive measures based on ground-level information.
Journal ArticleDOI
HCl modification and pervaporation performance of BTESE membrane for the dehydration of acetic acid/water mixture
TL;DR: In this article, hybrid silica membranes were fabricated using bis(triethoxysilyl) ethane (BTESE) as a precursor through sol gel route and further modification was done as solid post HCl treatment for the synthesized BTESE membrane aiming to improve separation performance of the BTESE membranes for dehydration of acetic acid.
