Aerobic and resistance exercise in systemic sclerosis: State of the art.
Natália Cristina de Oliveira,Leslie Andrews Portes,Henrik Pettersson,Helene Alexanderson,Carina Boström +4 more
TL;DR: It seems that patients with SSc without pulmonary involvement are able to perform and benefit from aerobic exercises of at least moderate intensity and patients with mild pulmonary involvement can be recommended to be as physically active as the general population.
Journal ArticleDOI

Journal ArticleDOI
Muscle endurance, strength, and active range of motion in patients with different subphenotypes in systemic sclerosis: a cross-sectional cohort study.
Henrik Pettersson,Carina Boström,F. Bringby,R. Walle-Hansen,L. Jacobsson,Elisabet Svenungsson,A. Nordin,Helene Alexanderson +7 more
TL;DR: SSc patients have markedly reduced muscle endurance in the upper and lower extremity, reduced muscle strength in the lower extremities, and impaired AROM in the shoulders and arms.
Journal ArticleDOI
Self-reported physical capacity and activity in patients with systemic sclerosis and matched controls
Henrik Pettersson,A Åkerström,A. Nordin,Elisabet Svenungsson,Helene Alexanderson,Carina Boström +5 more
TL;DR: Although SSc patients reported lower physical capacity and more limiting factors for physical capacity than controls, there were no differences in reported physical activity and time spent sitting.
Journal ArticleDOI
