Journal ArticleDOI

Blockade of RAGE–amphoterin signalling suppresses tumour growth and metastases

TL;DR: In this article, the authors demonstrate that inhibition of RAGE-amphoterin interaction suppressed activation of p44/p42, p38 and SAP/JNK MAP kinases; molecular effector mechanisms importantly linked to tumour proliferation, invasion and expression of matrix metalloproteinases.
Journal ArticleDOI

Transcriptional regulation of the cyclin D1 promoter by STAT5: its involvement in cytokine-dependent growth of hematopoietic cells.

TL;DR: STAT5, in addition to ras signaling, appears to mediate transcriptional regulation of cyclin D1, thereby contributing to cytokine‐dependent growth of hematopoietic cells.
Journal ArticleDOI

Clathrin Mediates Endocytosis and Polar Distribution of PIN Auxin Transporters in Arabidopsis

TL;DR: A fundamental role for clathrin function in cell polarity, growth, patterning, and organogenesis in plants is demonstrated in plants by genetic means.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cytokinin Modulates Endocytic Trafficking of PIN1 Auxin Efflux Carrier to Control Plant Organogenesis

TL;DR: It is shown that cytokinin regulates endocytic recycling of the auxin efflux carrier PINFORMED1 (PIN1) by redirecting it for lytic degradation in vacuoles, and Stimulation of the lytic PIN1 degradation is not a default effect for general downregulation of proteins from plasma membranes, but a specific mechanism to rapidly modulate the Auxin distribution in cytokinIn-mediated developmental processes.
