Journal ArticleDOI

Steady-state chlorophyll fluorescence (Fs) measurements as a tool to follow variations of net CO2 assimilation and stomatal conductance during water-stress in C3 plants

TL;DR: The ratio Fs/Fo, measured with a portable instrument (PAM-2000 or with a remote sensing FIPAM system, provides a good method for the early detection of water stress, and may become a useful guide to irrigation requirements.
Journal ArticleDOI

Early light-induced proteins protect Arabidopsis from photooxidative stress

TL;DR: These findings indicate that ELIPs fulfill a photoprotective function that could involve either the binding of chlorophylls released during turnover of pigment-binding proteins or the stabilization of the proper assembly of those proteins during high-light stress.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ultraviolet-induced fluorescence for plant monitoring: present state and prospects

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present the application of fluorescence induced by le rayonnement ultraviolet peuvent etre consideres comme des signatures complexes which renseignent sur l'etat physiologique de la plante, including photosynthese, reactions primaires photochimiques et la teneur en chlorophylle.
Journal ArticleDOI

Leaf BRDF measurements and model for specular and diffuse components differentiation

TL;DR: In this article, the spectral and directional variations of the leaf Bidirectional Reflectance Distribution Function (BRDF) by differentiating specular and diffuse components were linked by linking spectral invariance of the specular component, the directional shape of which was mainly driven by leaf surface roughness.
