Journal ArticleDOI
Physical work demands and psychosocial working conditions as predictors of musculoskeletal pain: a cohort study comparing self-reported and job exposure matrix measurements.
Ida E. H. Madsen,Nidhi Gupta,Esben Budtz-Jørgensen,Jens Peter Bonde,Elisabeth Framke,Esben Meulengracht Flachs,Sesilje Bondo Petersen,Annemette Coop Svane-Petersen,Andreas Holtermann,Reiner Rugulies +9 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that, with few notable exceptions, findings obtained using JEMs may be comparable with those obtained when using self-reported exposures, with the exception of quantitative demands.
Journal ArticleDOI
Adipose tissue concentrations of persistent organic pollutants and total cancer risk in an adult cohort from Southern Spain: preliminary data from year 9 of the follow-up.
Juan P. Arrebola,Mariana F. Fernández,Piedad Martin-Olmedo,José-Manuel Molina-Molina,Maria Jose Sanchez-Perez,Emilio Sánchez-Cantalejo,Elena Molina-Portillo,José Expósito,Jens Peter Bonde,Nicolás Olea +9 more
TL;DR: Preliminary findings suggest a potential relationship between the historical exposure to persistent organic pollutants and the risk of cancer in men, but these results should be interpreted with caution and require verification during the future follow-up of this cohort.
Journal ArticleDOI
Male factor infertility and risk of death: a nationwide record-linkage study.
Clara Helene Glazer,Michael L. Eisenberg,Sandra Søgaard Tøttenborg,Aleksander Giwercman,Esben Meulengracht Flachs,Elvira Vaclavik Bräuner,Ditte Vassard,Anja Pinborg,Lone Schmidt,Jens Peter Bonde +9 more
TL;DR: Using national health registers, the authors found an increased risk of death among azoospermic men while no increased risk was found among men with other types of infertility.
Journal ArticleDOI
In utero exposure to persistent organochlorine pollutants and reproductive health in the human male.
Anne Vested,Cecilia Høst Ramlau-Hansen,Sjurdur F. Olsen,Jens Peter Bonde,Henrik Støvring,Susanne Lund Kristensen,Thorhallur I. Halldorsson,Panu Rantakokko,Hannu Kiviranta,Emil Hagen Ernst,Gunnar Toft +10 more
TL;DR: In utero exposure to polychlorinated biphenyls and p,p′-dichlorodiphenyldichloroethylene during pregnancy was not statistically significantly associated with semen quality measures or reproductive hormone levels; however, it cannot exclude that these POPs in concert with other endocrine-modulating compounds may have adverse effects.
Journal ArticleDOI
Measurements of Solar Ultraviolet Radiation Exposure at Work and at Leisure in Danish Workers.
TL;DR: Findings substantiate that exposure to solar ultraviolet radiation is indeed an occupational health and safety problem in Denmark.
