TL;DR: It is shown that among the phytoplankton, small eukaryotes contribute significantly toCO2 fixation (44%) because of their larger cell volume and thereby higher cell-specific CO2 fixation rates.

TL;DR: It was observed that in general dissimilarity amongst microbial communities increased when nutrient concentrations were higher, whereas richness was higher in scenarios of higher turbulence, and maximum abundance models showed the differential responses of dominant taxa to temperature giving an indication how taxa will respond as waters become warmer and more oligotrophic.

TL;DR: Establishing ARMS as a standard tool in reef monitoring will not only advance the understanding of local processes and ecological community response to environmental changes, as different faunal components will provide complementary information but also improve the estimates of biodiversity in coral reef benthic communities.
