Journal ArticleDOI
Different hydrogen-bonded structures in the isomeric solvates 2-amino-6-anilino-4-methoxy-5-[(E)-4-nitrobenzylideneamino]pyrimidine dimethyl sulfoxide solvate and 2-amino-6-[methyl(phenyl)amino]-5-[(E)-4-nitrobenzylideneamino]pyrimidin-4(3H)-one dimethyl sulfoxide solvate.
TL;DR: The significance of this study lies in its observation of different conformations for the pyrimidine components in (I) and (II), and different hydrogen-bonded structures, apparently dominated by the different roles adopted by the dimethyl sulfoxide components.
Journal ArticleDOI
A Simple One‐Pot Synthesis of New Imidazol‐2‐yl‐1H‐quinolin‐2‐ones from the Direct Reaction of 2‐Chloroquinolin‐3‐carbaldehyde with Aromatic o‐Diamines.
Rodrigo Abonia,Juan J. Castillo,Paola Cuervo,Paola Cuervo,Braulio Insuasty,Jairo Quiroga,Alejandro Ortiz,Manuel Nogueras,Justo Cobo +8 more
TL;DR: An alternative and general one-pot synthesis of novel imidazol 2-yl-1H-quinolin-2-one derivatives was performed in 70% aqueous acetic acid by the direct reaction of 2-chloroquinolin 3-carbaldehyde with aromatic o-diamines.
Journal ArticleDOI
S-Ethyl N-(4-chlorobenzoyl)dithiocarbamate: sheets built from π-stacked hydrogen-bonded chains
TL;DR: In this paper, the title compound, C10H10ClNOS2, was linked into C(4) chains by an N-H⋯O hydrogen bond.
Journal ArticleDOI
(1RS,2SR,3RS,5SR)-2-benzoyl-4,4-dicyano-1,3,5-triphenylcyclohexanol at 120 K: complex sheets built from C-H...O and C-H...N hydrogen bonds.
TL;DR: The significance of the present study lies in its correct description of the hydrogen bonding and in its analysis of the unit-cell dimensions; the differences between the cell angles at 120 and 294 K arise from the fact that one such angle in the triclinic cell is extremely close to 90 degrees so that a very small change in this angle can induce significant changes in the reduced cell.
Journal ArticleDOI
Chloro–formyl steroids as precursors for hybrid heterosteroids: synthesis, spectroscopic characterization, and molecular and supramolecular structures
TL;DR: Two new functionalized steroids containing both chloro and formyl substituents in ring A, and intended as precursor for the synthesis of hybrid systems, have been synthesized from ketosteroid precursors.
