Journal ArticleDOI

Comprehensive transcriptomic analysis of COVID-19 blood, lung, and airway.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors carried out a comprehensive analysis of gene expression data from the blood, lung, and airway of COVID-19 patients, and found that the myeloid-lineage cells with highly inflammatory but distinct transcriptional signatures in each compartment contribute to disease pathogenesis.

Comprehensive Transcriptomic Analysis of COVID-19 Blood, Lung, and Airway

TL;DR: Results indicate that COVID-19 pathogenesis is driven by populations of myeloid-lineage cells with highly inflammatory but distinct transcriptional signatures in each compartment, and suggests that transcriptomic profiling can provide an understanding of the pathogenesis of CO VID-19 in individual patients.
Journal ArticleDOI

Interstitial flow differentially increases patient-derived glioblastoma stem cell invasion via CXCR4, CXCL12, and CD44-mediated mechanisms.

TL;DR: Examination of IFF-stimulated CXCR4-, CXCL12-, and CD44-dependent invasion in patient-derived glioblastoma stem cells (GSCs) indicates that different mechanisms govern the flow response across GSCs, but that within a single patient, there are subpopulations of G SCs that respond to flow via eitherCD44- or CX CR4-CXCL 12 mechanisms.
