Journal ArticleDOI
Optical absorption of free‐standing porous silicon films
TL;DR: In this article, the optical absorptions of anodically etched p+ and n+ porous silicon (PS) films were investigated by photothermal deflection spectroscopy, and the dangling bond defect densities in PS were estimated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis and bright luminescence of lanthanide (Eu(III), Tb(III)) complexes sensitized with a novel organic ligand
TL;DR: In this paper, a novel organic ligand, 6-[(benzylamino) carbonyl]-2-pyridine carboxylic acid (HBAP), and the corresponding lanthanide complexes, tris(6]-(benzyl)-2pyridis carboxylato) lanthanides(III) (Ln-BAP, Ln=Eu, Tb, Gd), have been designed and synthesized.
Journal ArticleDOI
Time-resolved photoluminescence of barium titanate ultrafine powders
TL;DR: In this article, the decay process consists of the recombination of self-trapped excitons (long lifetime decay) and of the electrons in the surface states with the holes in the valence band (short lifetime decay).
Journal ArticleDOI
Template Synthesis, Crystal Structure and Luminescent Properties of Neutral N4O3 Tripodal LnIIIL Complexes (LnIII = La3+, Eu3+, Gd3+, Tb3+, Dy3+, Ho3+, Er3+, Tm3+ or Lu3+; H3L = Tris{[3′‐(2′′‐pyridyl)‐5′‐tert‐butyl‐2′‐hydroxybenzylidene‐2‐imino]ethyl}amine)
Wai-Kwok Wong,Hongze Liang,Jianping Guo,Wai Yeung Wong,Wing-Kit Lo,King Fai Li,Kok Wai Cheah,Zhongyuan Zhou,Wing Tak Wong +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the neutral Schiff-base complex LnIIIL was determined by X-ray crystallography and it behaves as a trideprotonated heptadentate ligand encapsulating the lanthanide metal ion within the N4O3 cavity, with all the pyridyl groups being pendant.
Journal ArticleDOI
Linear and Nonlinear Fano Resonance on two-dimensional Magnetic Metamaterials
Haoliang Liu,Haoliang Liu,Guixin Li,King Fai Li,Shumei Chen,Shining Zhu,Che Ting Chan,Kok Wai Cheah +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, both linear and nonlinear Fano resonances can be realized on two-dimensional magnetic metamaterials by fine tailoring the geometrical parameters of the magnetic device.
